I discovered tennis in my early teenage years, and have been lucky enough to have an identical twin brother to practice with whilst growing up too!...

The sport quickly became a hobby close to my heart, and by age 21 I was finding a way to have a racquet in my hand nearly every day of the month, which lead to winning a local carpet tournament being held at my tennis club.

By age 25 I decided to start teaching Tennis to encourage more young people to learn, have fun and compete with the best one on one sport their is to play!

After just 1 years teaching experience assisting at David Lloyd, I spotted an opportunity to teach at a Luxury 5 star "Verdura Resort" in Scicily, which I grabbed with both hands! This experience taught me to apply a "Hard Work" Ethic to my tennis coaching, I spent a few months on court for 50-60Hr weeks helping with clay court maintenance, as well as teaching lessons to clients visiting the resort.

By my 2nd year of coaching I had already finished my level 3 Tennis Coach Qualification as part of a pre-requisite to secure the Adult Tennis Professional position at David Lloyd, Great Bar.

After 4 Yrs of coaching got involved with work at GLL Telford assisting with Disability tennis and Children in Need, as well as promoting and running 'Touch Tennis' sessions to try and promote an additional gateway into the game of tennis.

After 5 Years experience and by my 30th Birthday I decided to create my own Tennis Philosophy and brand 'Ying Yang Tennis Academy'. This grew quickly in its first year which lead to a successful small business grant received from 'Prince's Trust' which was a proud achievement for me in mid 2019.

I made the most of a wet winter in 2019 and secured a prestigious work placement abroad in Western Australia, Perth. I enjoyed a 6 month Working Holiday Visa at Dalkeith Tennis Club, for John Thorpe at MastaStroke Tennis System. John Thorpe is one of 2 'Platinum Master' Coaches in Western Australia who was happy to pass on many private Juniors for me to 'hit' and help with their game, also assisting with his participation and performance junior group programmes. This experience has given be an abundance of positivity and creative ideas which I am itching to execute on court as COVID has hindered much of my summer plans, the same as for many of us though I would expect, during 2020.

Tennis has took my life in a direction which I couldn't be more grateful for, and I'm confident and excited whenever I step out on court to see how quickly I can help people improve their game and enjoy playing tennis more as a result!
